Actizyme®

Advanced botanical active ingredient, Actizyme® is an acidic protease that mimics the effect of cathepsin D and creates controlled and effective desquamation of the upper dead layer of the skin without side effects. The protease comes from the fungus Mucor miehei.

Enzymes are the gentlest form of peeling for the skin, especially compared to, for example, AHA acids. Several tests were also conducted, which proved that Actizyme® provides effective and controlled exfoliation, and the application of this natural peeling enzyme improves the overall appearance of the skin by increasing brightness and glow. Moreover, even at higher concentrations of the substance, there is no disruption of the skin barrier, and therefore the skin can retain hydration within itself.
