Laminaria ochroleuca, or "golden seaweed", belongs to the group of algae known as kelp, and is truly a golden treasure in cosmetics. It is usually found at lower depths, is exposed to high levels of salt stress and important solar changes, as it undergoes complete emergence and submergence (as the water level changes), which allows it to secrete secondary metabolites to resist UV radiation.

The extract from these algae has strong soothing and anti-inflammatory effects, very effectively protects against aging due to UV radiation (photo-aging) and, last but not least, helps to stimulate collagen production and restore the lipid layer of the skin, thereby keeping it sufficiently hydrated. It reduces inflammation and irritation. The extract is also suitable for people with sensitive skin.
