Common mallow
The main active substances of mallow are mainly mucilage, essential oils and tannins. It also contains vitamin C and carotenes. When used internally, it is mainly used for the treatment of the respiratory tract, in case of angina, bronchitis, sore throat or cough. It has a slightly anti-inflammatory effect, thereby reducing irritation. In cosmetics, due to its anti-inflammatory effects, it is mainly used to treat eczema, acne and rosacea. Mallow has no known side effects, even with long-term use. It nourishes and softens the skin.
