Only the bark of young trees is used from oak. The bark is very rich in minerals such as potassium, zinc, calcium, cobalt, copper, iron, manganese, nickel, strontium or aluminum. It also contains phytoncide substances that have antibiotic effects, flavonoids (antioxidants), tannins and resin.
