Tomato
Edible tomato, also eggplant tomato, is a herbaceous perennial grown as an annual. The tomato is rich in beta-carotene and vitamins B and C, lycopene, chromium and potassium. A tomato is more than 90% water.
Tomatoes tighten pores and generally refresh a tired look. Thanks to their acidity, the skin gets rid of excess oil. The skin will thus remain clean, firm and flexible. The high content of red dyes (lycopene) results in the tomato acting as an antioxidant and helping to reduce oxidative stress in cells, protecting the skin from the negative effects of UV radiation and the formation of wrinkles. Tomatoes have antibacterial and antifungal effects. Tomato leaf oil helps with skin problems including acne, soothes irritation and helps prevent skin aging. It reduces scars on the skin and removes dead skin cells.
